Sing and dance in Britain and France, paddle northern rivers with the voyageurs, march with the ants, or just relax and absorb beautiful classical melodies. Response to sound is one of the most highly developed abilities in the newborn and children need to be musically nurtured after birth. When music is presented in a way that is appropriate for young children, meaning and understanding are a result. It is the connection made with the child that is of most importance.

This collection of instrumental guitar is suited to children of all ages yet it is not to be overlooked by anyone with a fondness for the classical and flamenco guitar. The tunes are widespread in origin and time, offering the budding musician in the family a range of thought invoking themes, melodies and structure. Inspired by a young family of his own, Peter Bodley has spent countless hours at home, daycare and schools performing for kids in preparing for this compilation. It is dedicated to Kelly, Kerry and Brighid.
